The Dominican Republic is very susceptible to climate change. They have been ranked as the 8th most vulnerable country in the world because of their low elevation. Many people have already had to be relocated away from the shore due to rising water levels. The government has been taking steps to combat climate change. They have committed to cutting their carbon emissions by 25% by 2030. In addition, they passed the Renewable Energy Incentive Law for companies that are developing renewable energy. The law exempts the companies from all tariff on imports.
