Turkey’s temperatures have been on the rise, having increased during the first half of 1990, and gradually increasing after 1992. They signed the Paris Climate Agreement, however they have yet to ratify it due to Trump’s decision to pull the United States from the Agreement.
Turkey has recently been expanding their coal power production, and overall they have not been doing much to combat climate change.
Due to their location, Turkey is susceptible to flooding and earthquakes, which cause not only damage to their land and buildings, but also the economics and lives of its citizens.
