Vietnam, a South East Asian country has experienced destructive floods and landslides which killed many people and causes food shortage. In september 2005 Typhoon Damrey hit vietnam causing 150 death. The typhoon began as a tropical storm in the Philippine sea and as it moves to warm water in South of China Sea, it became a typhoon. 300,000 people were evacuated ahead of the storm.
Vietnam energy does not rely on oil as much as other countries. Vietnam has done a good job with its clean energy plans. 38 percent of their energy is hydropower and 33.5 percent is from coal. The government continues support renewable by increasing its wind, biomass and solar power between 2020 and 2030. Many private sector continues to invest in the electricity market causing Vietnam economy to grow fast.
